The Salahi’s were not the first people to breach White House security and are probably not going to be the last according to a confidential 2003 report by the Secret Service obtained by the Washington Post.
Tareq and Michaele Salahi breached White House security at a recent state dinner that was attended by President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. The couple were not invited.
According to the report, the White House security has been breached 91 times in the last 30 years.
Only eight of the intruders had contact with president or another person under the protection of the Secret Service. Four of the incidents involved the same man, Richard C. Weaver.
Weaver, a California minister, bypassed security at the inauguration of George W. Bush to shake his hand. This was not the first time he bypassed security though. In 1997, at an inaugural luncheon for Clinton he infiltrated security. In 1991 at a prayer breakfast attended by George H.W. Bush, he bypassed security. He was finally arrested in 2003, when he tried to do the same thing at a prayer breakfast attended by George W. Bush.
Weaver had many techniques, including manipulating people to obtain tickets. He also would tell guards that he was lost and claim he was an invited guest, something the Solahi’s reportedly did.
Other noted cases of White House security breaches include an alleged delivery driver, and a family in a minivan.
The only intruder to harm a president was John W. Hinckley Jr. He shot at President Ronald Reagan six times, one of those gunshots pierced Reagan’s lung outside the Washington Hilton Hotel.

Amazing how in the White House this would happen… with all the security and might, how folks like the Salahi’s could bypass security…
